COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

In December 2019, NKM partnered with the Laidlaw Foundation to host a community engagement event that shared the priorities, strategies and recommendations of black children and youth in the foster care system with elected officials. This event provided black children and youth with the opportunity to share their personal experiences with elected officials. The individuals running for office had the opportunity to hear and discuss how their decisions can be affected by black children and youth in foster care.
